Blue Jackets          Today 8:07 ET                  Blues

Blue Jackets v Blues

St. Louis Blues aim to extend their winning streak. Despite facing the Columbus Blue Jackets at home, a matchup that doesn't offer the most favorable odds, the Blues find themselves in a promising position with a commendable 15-8-1 record. St. Louis has shown proficiency in defending their home turf, while the Blue Jackets have struggled on the road, boasting a 6-11-6 record.

Heading into Tuesday's game, the Blue Jackets bring with them a two-game losing streak, particularly grappling with challenges in their goaltending department. Daniil Tarasov, their expected starter, has a 3.79 goals against average (GAA) and a modest .881 save percentage, placing Columbus at a clear disadvantage. Defensive struggles are evident, as the team allows the second-highest goals per game at 3.73. This issue goes beyond Tarasov's difficulties in his 10 games of action. With Columbus scoring just under the average goals per game, they face a true disadvantage. Although St. Louis may not boast standout statistics in either aspect of the game, their overall performance has been solid, and the presence of Jordan Binnington in goal provides a reassuring factor.

St Louis Blues Win

Kraken     Today 10:35 ET              Sharks

Seattle Kraken v San Jose Sharks

The Seattle Kraken and San Jose Sharks are set to face off in a Western Conference matchup in San Jose, one of the last games before the all-star break. The Kraken, eager to secure a valuable 2 points, are up against a rebuilding San Jose squad that, despite its lower standing, is always a potential spoiler for stronger opponents.

In a straightforward assessment, I predict the Kraken to emerge the winner in a convincing manner. Seattle is in a fierce battle for a playoff spot and cannot afford to be complacent. Currently trailing by 2 points for a playoff position, and with similar or more games played than their rivals, the Kraken must capitalize on every opportunity. While San Jose sits at the bottom of the league, the Kraken are well aware of the need to approach the game with full preparation. Their strategy should involve giving their all in this final game before the break on February 10, ensuring they secure a crucial win. With a superior team on both ends of the ice, Seattle is expected to demonstrate its strength in this matchup. My prediction is for Seattle to secure a regulation win.

Kraken Win

The 49ers, renowned for their formidable defense led by Nick Bosa and Fred Warner, have witnessed notable offensive improvements. Key additions, including quarterback Brock Purdy and second-team All-Pro Brandon Aiyuk, signal a more potent offense. On the other side, the Chiefs have strengthened their offensive line and enhanced their defense, making this Super Bowl clash a potential game-changer. Here are some of the standout prop bets identified by USA Today's Jon Hoefling: Rashee Rice OVER 6.5 Receptions (-105): Hoefling highlights Rice as a crucial part of the Chiefs' passing attack, particularly in short-yardage situations. With seven or more receptions in six of the last nine games, Rice is a reliable target for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, making the over on receptions an appealing choice. Brock Purdy OVER
